麹町カフェ閉店の挨拶 | Permanent Closure of Kojimachi Cafe
いつも麹町カフェをご利用いただきましてありがとうございます。
急なお知らせとなってしまい驚かせてしまうかもしれないのですが、麹町カフェは11月25日をもって閉店する事になりました。正しくお伝えすると閉店と言うより引っ越しなのですが移転先が麹町ではない為、お店の名前は変わってしまいます。
引っ越し先は、池袋に7月にオープンしたIKE SUN PARK内で、
新店舗「eat good place」として、私たちは再スタートいたします。
緑の芝生が広がり子供たちが楽しそうに走り回っている素敵な公園です。麹町カフェは、当初小さなコーヒースタンドからはじまり今年で16年目となります。
今の場所での営業は2006年からだったので来年で丁度15年。本当はそこまで頑張りたかったのですが、このような時代の流れの中、働き方が大きく変化するオフィス街で大型店舗を維持していくのは困難だと判断いたしました。
本当に悩んだ末の決断だったので、お知らせするのがギリギリになってしまいました。私たちエピエリの一番最初のお店であり、半蔵門というオフィス街の中で長くたくさんのお客様に愛されてきました。ずっと来てくださっていたお客様には、本当に本当に感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。16年間通い続けたこの町から離れるのは寂しくて、まだ自分達の中でも想像がつきません。ただ九段には私たちのベーカリーである「FACTORY」や「Chili Parlor 9」もあります。浅草には「SUKE6 DINER」、「Manufacture」もあります。お弁当やケータリングもいままで通りお届けできるので、本当の意味でのお別れではありません。今年の夏とても暑かった日の夜に麹町カフェを出て池袋の公園に行ってきました。芝生の上に座ると風が吹き抜けていて空が広くてとても涼しくて。窓を開放していたエアコンの効かない麹町カフェの事を考えるとここに移るのは、お客様にとっても私たちにとってもいいことなのかもしれないなとふっと思いました。
新しいお店の情報は、引き続きホームページやSNSでもお知らせしていきますが、天井高が６ｍもあるそれはそれは素敵なお店になります。公園に面したテラスも広々としていて居心地のいい場所になること請け合いです。今まで麹町だと来づらい方もいたかもしれません。家族や友達と、一人でのんびりと、いろいろな過ごし方ができると思いますので楽しみにしていてください。残りの少しの間だけ、麹町界隈の皆様にはお世話になることと思います。面と向かってきちんとご挨拶が出来ない方々もいるかもしれませんので、この場を借りてお詫びとお礼を申し上げます。
麹町カフェという場所はなくなってしまいますが、私たちの内にあるハートとこの麹町カフェで生まれた小さなかけらたちから、新たな eat good を作っていきたいと思っています。12月からeat good placeで皆様をお待ちしております。

Thank you for your patronage of Kojimachi Cafe.
This might come as a surprise to many, but after much deliberation, we have decided to close Kojimachi Cafe as of Wednesday, November 25, 2020. To be precise, it’s more of a move than a closure, but as we are leaving the Kojimachi neighborhood and moving to IKE SUN PARK, which opened this July in Ikebukuro, we plan to reopen under the new name “EAT GOOD PLACE.” IKE SUN PARK is a beautiful space with sprawling green lawns where families with children have plenty of room to spread out and run around.
This year marks the 16th year since Kojimachi Cafe began as a small corner coffee shop, and we have been in our current location since 2006—next year would have been our fifteenth anniversary here. While we always planned on celebrating that milestone here, the pandemic has changed how people work, making it difficult to operate a large restaurant in an office area like Kojimachi.
This was an extremely difficult decision for us to make, and we apologize for not telling you sooner. Kojimachi Cafe was Epietriz’s first restaurant, and we are honored to have been able to serve so many people for over a decade in the heart of Tokyo’s Hanzomon neighborhood. We are sincerely grateful to the many customers who have visited us over the years. Kojimachi has been our home for sixteen years, and I still can't picture what it will be like once we move. However, we still have FACTORY, our bakery, and Chili Parlor 9 in the nearby neighborhood of Kudan, as well as SUKE6 DINER and Manufacture, our restaurants in Asakusa. We will continue to deliver bentos and provide catering services just as we always have, so this is by no means goodbye!
On a hot night this summer, I visited our future park home in Ikebukuro. Sitting on the grass, I felt the sky open wide as a cool breeze blew across my face. When I thought about the summer swelter and poor air conditioning at Kojimachi Cafe—how we had to keep the windows open all summer long—I suddenly thought that moving here might be good for both us and our customers.
We will share more details about our new restaurant opening on our website and on social media, but I can tell you that it’s located in a new building with airy six-meter-high ceilings. Our spacious terrace faces the park, and we’re sure you’ll feel right at home there. I suspect that some of our customers had trouble making the trip out to Kojimachi, but I promise that there is much to look forward to at EAT GOOD PLACE, whether you're relaxing by yourself or out with friends and family.
Personally, I’m looking forward to enjoying the little time we have left with everyone here at Kojimachi Cafe. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has visited us over the years and apologize to all of those who I may not get a chance to say goodbye to in-person.
While Kojimachi Cafe may cease to exist, we take a part of it with us in the form of our “eat good” philosophy, which was born right here in this very cafe. We look forward to welcoming you once again to our new home at EAT GOOD PLACE this December.
